Rabbitbrush marks the end of summer here in the Okanagan and when I started this painting weeks ago it was just beginning and now the blooms are on their last legs. This scene was inspired by the view from near our home on a smokey late summer day. This painting sits on top of a "failed" painting of a completely different landscape, giving it extra texture and making it extra sweet for me.⁣ I created it intuitively and without inhibitions, allowing colour to guide me from one season to the next.

Size: 12” x 16” x 1.5”

Medium: oil paint on gallery wrapped canvas. Signed on the front, signed and titled on the back. Ready to hang.
